Madhav Ghanta, KU doctoral student in chemical and petroleum engineering, has won the prestigious Kenneth G. Hancock Memorial Award in Green Chemistry. He was recognized for his research to develop a nature-friendly way to make ethylene oxide, a key industrial chemical, which could revolutionize production of antifreeze, plastic bottles, sports gear, detergents and paints.

Using ethylen is not green!!!
if you had used ethanol for the production of ethylenoxide, it would be a "totaly" green process.
but you are depending on the petroleum based ethylen!!!
