SYNOPSIS

Jorge Ameer's most disturbing film tells the story of two brothers: a gay waiter with a crush on an eligible bachelor and a drug addict brother's abusive relationship spiralling out of control with his girlfriend. Both estranged from each other, they must plan funeral arrangements of their recently deseased mother as their rage and prejudices consume their incindiary relationship.

ABOUT THE FILM
Three relationships, two brothers, and a mother who'll change their lives forever. Preparing for the death of a parent is never easy. It does'nt matter how long you've planned for it When the occassion does arrive, it can be very difficult, taxing and hearthbreaking. Tempers will flair and emotions will run high, but deep down it is the love of siblings that will keep the family together during these tough times, or will it? "The Dark Side of Love" explores deep rooted feelings, inner prejudices and rage as four people are put to the test in this new drama from filmmaker Jorge Ameer ("The Singing Forest", "Contadora is for Lovers","The House of Adam","Medusa". Eligible bachelor Steven seeks his future wife through donating himself for a children with cancer charity. A very lucky lady will get to spend five days and four nights with him. However, Things don't go as planned. He meets Julian who's on the eve of preparing funeral arrangements for his recently deseased mother. Both Julian and Steven are trying to figure out what to do with each other for the next couple of days. Michael has been estranged from his brother Julian. His visit will incite Julian who's had to deal with the dissentegration of his family due to his brothers drug addiction. A very moving story we can all relate to, nothing has prepared you for what you are about to see. Enter the unique world of Julian, Michael, Chanel and Steven. Love is universal, but can it mend bleeding hearts?
