I always thought Al Franken was a liberal blowhard like Michael Moore but my respect for him goes up after this. I will def not change the channel whenever I see him talk from now on.

The Gipper was the one who opened our borders in the first place. Aside from the 1964 Immigration Act, Reagan did more damage immigration-wise than Bush and Obama combined. Not to break your balls, but don't take my word on it. Look it up.

I liked Al in this, I'm glad there's a liberal that's not a shitdick whiner. Good for Franken

@johnclavis that may be true but still we could never have another president we or anyone else in the world trusted, plus prosecuting the president wouldn't stop any of the corruption since it's big business and the banks that pay the government to do what they want
-
@aliensexgangchildren Not true -- a country's people are looked upon as strong, not weak, if we show that justice really is equal in this country. What makes us look weak and embarrassing is that we DON'T prosecute powerful people when they break the law, only (relatively) powerless people.
-
@johnclavis exactly, if the rest of our government had any balls they would have made the bush admin go to trail for all the lies around the iraq war, but then again that would make america look very weak to the rest of the world if we brought a president up on war crimes, no one would ever trust another president ever

@Ramblebar he was civil with micheal moore too which alot of people didn't expect, i think ant just gets angry when people bring up conspiracy stuff or want taxes raised, he isn't some right wing fanatic

Saddam did not have any WMD when we invaded (not counting the Sarin and Ricin that was found). However, we were meant to think he had WMD. Intelligence agencies in Britain, France, Germany, Russia, Saudi Arabia and elsewhere also believed Saddam had WMD. He kicked out UN inspectors 12 times and violated 17 UN resolutions between 1991 and 2003. Saddam certainly acted like he had something to hide, and we called Saddam's bluff. Given the situation, I would have done the same thing.

I think Al and Ant connect as entertainers. My own political beliefs are very different from Al's, but I think he is a very funny guy. His SNL work was great.

It's amazing how good a rapport that Al and Ant actually have with each other, even though they disagree ideoligically they can still have a good, humorous political discussion,I think more conversations like this could definitely improve the political discourse, but Al is great and so is O&A!!!

George W. Bush lost me with his reckless spending policies (where's the Gipper's veto pen when you need it?), his refusal to seal the borders and deal with illegal immigrants (there is a right way to come here; a legal way. Please use it, as my grandparents and great grandparents did.) , and finally, his bailouts of irresponsible financial institutions and moribund Detroit auto makers.
