  • yea i got all that wheel hop for sure, i asked some friends and they say the knock is probably the strut hitting the frame of the car from the wheel hop? Idk, oh and what rpm were you powershifting at? My 60' was 2.529, i trapped at 97.127 @ 15.019...Is the launch pretty much what i nee to work on?

  • your launch will generally make or break your run. youve got a pretty high trap speed... what power mods do you have?

i was powershifting at roughly 8100rpm, right before the rev limiter. if you listen closely you can hear me just barely bounce off the limiter. if i can shift a liiiiitle bit quicker i should avoid the limiter, land at a higher rpm and shave maybe another .1-.2 seconds off my time.

i would imagine the sound youre hearing is from the wheel-hop.

  • Do you have VSA on?

  • nope, no VSA ... if VSA was on you wouldve seen a blinking light near the left side of my tach

  • i cant see from this angle, if its on.Or i'm just blind.

  • no, VSA is off

see all

  • 14.6 thats pretty good i was wondering about how much i would run and i have pretty much wat you got besides the torque damper and the throttle body spacer...but i got racing pulleys which is kind of the same power as the spacer but thats a pretty good time for the things so far..i cant wait till i get mine out on the track

  • @miv3c I had at last 20 cars in my lifetime. 4, 6 and 8 cyl. If performance at all RPM bands, a v8 is what you need. If you like the sound of a high reving 4 cyl, ok. I used to but am too old for it now. However, trust em on this; there is no substitute for displacement when it comes to power. Torque is what glues you to your seat not high reving RPM.

  • @guyd37 Better have usable power

through mid and high rpm than not. Don't

be such a douche about it.

  • Pass 100mph? You must be young and never had drove anything else than bangers. It pulls hard until 130 and then slows to 150. All Muscle v8 do.Some v8 will actually pull hard until 150.

  • @Flexfuel306 And I'm sure that riceboys and their fart canons sounds better...lol.

  • No ones give a shit about your life. If you die on the strip that's one thing. When you risk killing others on the street, that's another. I spend 14 years as a Paramedic cleaning up mess after idiots did something retarded on public roads.

  • In reality, be it the streets or drag way, you're still exposing your life right? And sorry, I just prefer HP/high end power over torque any day. Have seen plenty of low end vs high end races where the low end prevails.

  • What a stupid comment. Pass 100mph? Get pulled over and a straight appearance in court for dangerous driving and 5,000 a year for insurance? HP sells cars. Torque is what get them moving. Something Hondas don't have...

  • who cares about torque? When you pass the 100mph your car is gonna get slow as shit. High end power FTW!

  • Some Chinese kid with a new Civic SI tried to follow me.... no, he didn;t go by. Yes, my Mustang may sound like shit according to some 14 y/o kids but at least I have usable power at all range... and something import don;t have; torque!
