New video editing PC

Performance on a new machine for a 1000-ish €. The SSD drive is really the star of the show:

motherboard: ASUS P8P67-M BRO B3
cpu: Intel Core i7-2600K 3,4GHz
storage: Intel 120GB 320 SATA SSD, Samsung 1TB SATA
mem: 8GB DDR3 PC3-12800
gfx: ASUS GeForce GTX 560 1GB
cap card: Hauppauge Colossus HD

This is default performance, no overclocking or tweaking involved. Software installed at the moment:
Win 7 PRO x64 SP1
Office 2010
Adobe Photoshop & Premiere Elements
Lightroom 3
AVG 2011
Winrar, Google Chrome, Dropbox
all drivers and Windows Updates up to date

I haven't built a machine in ages (at least 10 years) and it's been fun and extremely easy. Much because of the ace case, Fractal Design Define R3 which is very well built, easy to work with and very quiet.

Whenever I grow tired of its performance - that is tomorrow right? - I'll chuck in another 8GB of RAM, upgrade the GFX card to 590 and buy a SSD that supports 6GB/s. Then there's memory speed tweaking as well. :D
