hi, Sparrow, suzume, is so common that I have not watched it carefully usually. It however, is so cute bird. Do you find them around you?
I posed some tips for sparrow drawing in ink, please reference the below.

  • Can you tell me what kind of brush that is? Is that a regular Bamboo brush? I'm practicing Sumi-e and I'm just a beginner. Every time I do a stroke the end of the stroke has water or is smudged but all of your strokes come out clean. Do you know what I could be doing wrong? I use regular bamboo brush. Maybe it's the brush? Or maybe how much water I have on it?

  • hi, I guess that you put water too much in brush. Other parts than the head of the sparrow(the first drawing part), I squeeze the water out of the brush before drawing.

  • The House Sparrow is one of my favourite birds. Sadly, they seem to have declined in numbers in London UK of late. Nobody really knows why. Great painting Kazu

  • I really love it....

  • @Pawnbroker00 cool story chumlee

  • beautiful!

  • @ibanut sumi-e is the traditional japanese painting style so it would be ink. Ink is also a very asian way of doing it, and it will appear in both east asian and indian paintings too, though the styles are quite different

  • Eine ganz andere Kultur. Sehr schön gemacht!

  • Can you do wider screen shots so we can see how you load the brush, too?
