@Krazy4KevyHi..this is one of the basic action that you need to learn to be able to dance an international competitive samba. She is basically showing and telling us one of the technique that international samba requires. When you learn all the techniques...you might be able to dance like this....try type Yulia and Riccardo samba dance or Joanna and Michael samba dance...you will love them...hope you have fun watching... :)

1. It's a lesson for beginners.
2. It's NOT Brazilian samba, it's BALLROOM SAMBA. They are two entirely different dances, and IMO they both look cool. Just because you prefer Brazilian samba (because - duh - you're Brazilian) doesn't mean people who dance international style samba can't dance; they're just dancing something else than you're used to.

She's not dancing samba, she's explaining the basics to people who mostly have no experience at all dancing samba. As in they've never tried dancing it and have rarely seen it danced.
And for the millionth time, international standard dances are different from the original things. This includes at least SAMBA, Cha Cha, Rumba and Tango. International samba will never look like Brazilian samba, because it's NOT SUPPOSED to look like Brazilian samba.
