Wool blanket used as a backpack. This isn't so much a how to based on the fact this was my first time trying this just to give it a go. Nevertheless, I used this trip to practice some of the other outdoor skills as well; tarp shelter, knot tying, and of course the all most important outdoor skill of all...bacon cooking.

  • Can you name the each knots techs that you showed us here? ;) I would like to know especially the one you can tighten the tarp & blankets...LOL

  • @maxinpains I have an in process knot series of vids where each of these plus additional knots will be shown.

  • Which company's of Wool Blanket ?

  • @maxinpains Got it from Harbor Freight. Honestly it's a really cheap blanket. Not one of the nice ones.

  • Outstanding C20!! Really enjoyed this simple but effective showing of a day rest using your Blanket pack!! ;-))

  • @MrBushLife Thanks man. It was fun to get out and test the wool blanket thing. I would like to play with the idea more and really discover the strengths and weaknesses. I like the idea, but I don't think it will ever replace a good pack for me.

  • @Cr0cket20 it looks to me you are using many variety of knots you are doing on vids there! I see some improv knots, prusik knot, truckers hitch, adjustable guy line knot, etc. Yeah, you should up load series knots of vids . It's gets really handy on the go.

  • @Cr0cket20 80%wool 20%polyester is a very good blanket & the size seems right on the money. but it's not thick for Hobo rides its just a additional throw for indoor. Get a Russian MILL spec blanket. It's THICK & does the job.

  • @MrBushLife Now a days, I'd enjoy someone's frequent flier's club mileages & getting treated as first class with red carpet treatments & filet mignon steaks & Ice cold whiskeys & hot body stewardess on any Jumbo jets. The principle is same as hopping on trains. All you need to do is be friend with rich business mans near by the any major international airports. VISA's? Sure! ;)

  • @MrBushLife talk about teeth....LOL! There are officers with sniffing dogs. they do sink teeth on one of your legs or arms bad.. Preventive measures? Don't ever be where dogs can go when it's stops. better off be top on a roof. one my bud was smart. He was in inside drum can! it's get's freaking cold so you need to do is trip in warm time of seasons. you need a mat & emergency blanket & blanket you have. Alcohol stoves works but it's just for a while. you'll end up finishing fuels. lol

  • @jabp03 Good question, A Real master can explain & be able to teach the apprentices.

  • @MrBushLife You never done riding on cargo trains & can't eat beans. I've went to Louisiana & came back.LOL Talk is easy & but actually doing so is TOUGH & That's called Being a MAN.
