Thanks Craig for getting this, and so many move, videos onto YouTube.
I assume you also have them at Vimeo and other sites, no?
Tony and Malachy rock. I hope all these fine folks, and others like Gloria Mattera, find good spots to run. Strength in numbers!
Go Greens. The future is unwritten.

Yay!!! Go, Rev. Billy!

So Craig, thanks for this. Can you tell me who else is in the race for the nomination at this point? I've also heard Tony Gronowicz (sp?) and Malachy McCourt mentioned, but I wasn't clear if they're officially in yet. Finally, any idea when our primary or nominating conference is? Cheers.

While other names have been mentioned, Reverend Billy sought support amongst Green Party locals and Green State Committee members in NYC.
People are working on a city structure. That takes resources though when you have to contact thousands of enrollees. Postage and printing can cost a fortune.
Most parties don't even have a nomination for Mayor. Potential candidates pursue people in the party directly.

Thanks. So basically I take it then that at this point there's no one else in the race, and we have no concrete plans for a nominating conference/mail-in ballot/primary like we had last May. But we're working on building a "structure."

There are certainly people working on a city wide meeting. As you note it has been done in the past.
There are real logistical issues regarding location cost and cost of contacting thousands of people though.
Personally I haven't heard anyone else announce their intentions. Don't forget there's also Public Advocate and Controller too. Candidates have to make the effort to reach out. As time goes on a candidate needs even more resources the later they start.
