Thanks for the post.

My positive comments regarding Brian Gari were in no way meant to detract from the artistic accomplishments nor ignore the existence of any other members of Eddie Cantor's family. I apologize if my enthusiasm over Mr. Gari made it appear so. I am fully aware that Mr. Cantor and Ida ("Sweet As Apple Cider") had five daughters: Marjorie, Natalie, Edna, Marilyn, and Janet.

Ser, No, there were five daughters. I visited Janet's Manhattan apartment a couple of years ago. She was at the time as beautiful and active as ever, knocking out tunes for Broadway and TV. Alot of good stories, of course, about Dad and Mom, Ida. There is a great-grandaughter living in LA that I know of. I ran into her back when working out at a local Hollywood gym. PJF

I'm 53 years old and assumed that I had closed the book on all of my favorite singers and songwriters. Then along comes Brian Gari and rewrites that book. This has become my favorite song ever and his other works are magnificent as well. Eddie Cantor's legacy shines brightly. And, oh, would he ever be proud!

If all the Eddie Cantor videos I've been enjoying are an ice cream sundae, then The California Dream is the cherry on top!

Brian, Your video is marvelous! I have heard about you for many years, being an avid Eddie Cantor fan. Thanks to you, I am enjoying many, many Eddie Cantor recordings that might otherwise have been unheard. Now via this video, I get to hear YOUR great talent. Your grandfather would have been proud of you. Again, thanks for sharing your memories and talents, Brian.--Steve
Brian, you are a very talented singer and songwriter. I have enjoyed this video very much. It has just the right touch of nostalgia blended with the total current sound of the song. I loved the stroll down Monte Leon. I could almost smell the hot dogs on the grill, too. And oh, how I remember the Dick Clark show.
