As part of an ongoing effort to practice and promote stewardship of the Colorado River and its environs, five employees from McKinney Roughs Nature Park on Aug. 20 worked together for more than two hours under the Montopolis Bridge at U.S. Highway 183 to remove tires, glass bottles, and other litter left behind by hundreds of people who come there to use the river. Employees hauled away 480 pounds of trash.
