Matthew & others' sacrifices give me time 2 be with, & 2 teach my own 2b ready.
Great tribute. I wasn't saved 'til 20, took awhile 2 see Jesus blessed Soldiers many times in scripture, & they blessed Him (Centurion, David, etc.) Also took long to see there are legitimate reasons for war in this fallen world. (I was "programmed" by pop culture of the 60's.) Can't imagine dying at such young age; took me longer 2b ready.

Very touching video and perfect song... hopefully we dont just ignore the msg in the song, its to our benefit to LIVE a Christian LIFE so that we ARE ready when the time comes...dont let it be said too late. May Matt rest in peace.

Doug-it was obvious from the time we met you at the staging for Matt's wake,the wake and funeral how much you cared and loved Matt.You were lucky to have Matt as a nephew and he was lucky to have you as an uncle.He knows that.Keep the faith. My purpose of writing this is to apologize, and at the same time, hope that your mind, because of the anger that I caused you, may be at peace. It is not easy for me to say i'm sorry but I want you to know that I am.

I am not good with words. I hate war. I know most people do. I cannot support war or the people who fight in them (even my own country's army) but sometimes I get carried away with it and forget that the person killed was not just "another soldier" but they are somebody's family. I am not about hate. To hate ANY person is not me. I still have my personal thoughts about the American military, but more of a whole rather than on an individual basis. My comment on the video was inappropriate...

I just got this Email from dmett. dmett writes " I just want to make a response about the comment that I made on your video. I've been trying to think of the right words to say to explain why I would make a comment like that on a tribute video to somebody's loved one...

... I picture Matthew responding w/ a confused look on his face while wondering why anyone would write such a comment. Then he would break out in that great smile of his shaking it off and moving on. Rather than waisting our time getting angry at such comments, let's just ignore them or even say a Prayer for the dmett's of the world. That will Honor Matthew and God!

I can tell you that the past month has tested my faith more than ever before. I can also tell you that I have failed. The problem with the world today is so many people claim to love Jesus and follow him with their mouths yet do anything but that through their actions (myself included). I can tell you that not one of you has had the anger towards dmett = to mine...
