Lake County residents are continuing the cleanup effort one day after 50 homes were damaged from an overnight tornado Thursday.
The tornado, which the National Weather Service said packed 100 to 105 mph winds, touched down in Eustis in a six-block area bordered by Haselton Street, Bay Street, Lakeview Avenue and Orange Avenue.
Neighbors have already spent hours clearing debris and salvaging what they can.
"It's tough. You don't realize it until it does happen to you," Eustis tornado victim Carl Woodworth said.
