@davazno1 No I mean Austria, part of the Habsburg Empire. That's where Hitler was born. It has only been a mere 18 years after Bismark created Germany. Up till then it never existed as a unified country. The United States is older then Germany.

@Eagle027 @EvilSirJasper No doubt there are some who may argue that and there will be others from other countries too, people are bound to bear grudges for years of oppression and I'd never try to whitewash that.but I doubt they were ever prisoners of the Nazis (and I don't mean POWs). Humans have been wiping each other out in large numbers for aeons, and two wrongs never make a right but on balance I still see the SS actions as setting new highs (or lows) in genocidal behavior.

@Eagle027 Sure, the British have been responsible for the inevitable injustices that come from global imperialism and I'm not defending it. Participation in the slave trade involved many parties, Arabs, Africans, French etc, and the relationship with native Americans actually worsened under the US government, but there's still a major difference between them &, say, the SS.General Dyer was never ordered to massacre those protesters because it wasn't official policy and caused political problems
