    You should baste first, then you can sew along the thread marks.

  • This is the best dart explanation I've ever seen. Now I know why my skirts have been too bulky. I like the red line at the dress form's exact waist.

  • So now that you have pinned it tight to the mannequin how do you remove it so you can finishputting the skirt together? Can you show a video where you complete the skirt?

    I have done this to show you how the darts work on a skirt, where they are positioned. Also in the full lesson at eSewingWorkshop(dot)com I divide by 9 to calculate the dart intakes.
