Rome: Total War Barbarian Invasion WRE VH/VH

This is a strategy guide on how to play the Western Roman Empire on Very Hard/Very Hard setting.

As an added, insane, bonus, I am converting every city to Christianity and moving all combat capable troops to the front lines.

I will document the end of each turn.

*Edit: I realize now I should have built two peasant units in most of the rebelling cities. I think that would have helped keep more from going rebel.

i always play on very hard/ hard. It more fun that way because your troops dont get pwned by everything.

I moved to west france at the start with the francs and now I have taken control of britain and nearly spain.. once I have regained strength I want to invade italy which is infested with huns in which i am hoping my only allies western empire rebels will help with that.. or destroying the saxsons in one big swipe.. pls help :)

like your commentary. my strategy is to let the rebel/heretic/traitor citys to rebel, even let them and take more taxes from them before that. I invest all the empire money only in the few citys that not going to rebel and in army. when the citys rebel I reconquer them and butcher the filth, this way you get more cash and deal with the rebellion. I believe its better then making new enemys and hordes too soon, and that its better to deal with the enemy within first. after all its why rome falls.

one thing i dont get is i was being the wre and i had like 225 men guarding a city and over 3000 slavs in a horde attacked my city and i auto resoled and i won
