Combined bait for 4 more channel cats

Wind and current caused the Secret-7 bait to come off the hook in short time (plus little catfish were nibbling it off) - so I used magic bait cubes - and flatten them out and put Secret-7 bait in the center - then wrapped this 'mixed bait' about a small treble hook - this helped keep bait on the hook and I managed to pick up these keepers 1 lb 6oz; 1lb 15oz; 2 lbs and 2.5lbs

I use magic bait wrapped around some Secret-7 when I use a #2 hook i.e combine the bait on a bigger hook. If I use plain Secret-7, i use a dough hook and I keep a can of flour in my boat i.e. I make a tear drop shape out of the Secret-7 on a #4 dough hook. I stick my fingers in flour to 'pat down' 'shape the Secret-7) BTW: I also keep a spray bottle of soap / vingar mix and an old wash cloth - so I constantly wash my hands in vingar / soap (doesn't complete remove odor but helps :)

I have some but don't use them - don't like the sponge on a #4 hook. If I have to use a #4 - I like the dough hooks better

Today I got a 2lb on a #2 hook using Danny King - which stays on the hook a lot better.  Had another catfish on magic bait on #2 hook - but all others today were too small i.e. Secret-7 / magic bait combined only got little babies today

nice job have you tried those magic bait dip tube holders? they work good for me.
