Wait, are you using all those distortion pedals at once?

i start out using the sd-2 for that dry crunch mixed with the tube screamer. however, i have the tube screamer with nearly any gain, simply using it for some bass and volume boost. then once the song kicks in after "would you hit me", i slap on the ds-1. so basically it's using 2 distortions at once, with the TS for some bass frequencies.

although, i wasn't always happy with the 2 boss pedals, so i eventually sold them and dished out a good amount of cash on an indyguitarist plextortion. boutique pedal. they hand make it. that thing is ALL i need. it's amazing. i suggest that, because when i used the ds-1, as you can see, i could never use it standing alone.
