Thank you Macunwired for this tutorial! I will be upgrading my 12 inch PowerBook G4 with 512mb of ram. I am so glad that I don't need to take out the keyboard to install more ram. I wonder if two 512mb of ram make the computer run even faster?

I have a ibook g4 with 1 gb ram and 1.33 mhz want to know if I can change the ram and all that serious and not any of this because they are very slow and youtube videos I can do to fix it

As the video shows it is just the philips head screws that need taken out for the RAM upgrade.

hello!
i have upgraded powerbook g4 with 1gb,but i had just 768 of memory is like half of that ram is not working,any suggestions please.

You can have a 1GB chip in any of the aluminum PowerBook G4's... Apple says only a 512 chip, but they will take up to a 1GB chip in the slot.

It sounds like you have either faulty RAM, or the wrong type. I would try buying another chip that is specifically for the powerbook G4's, and that should work.
