I believe Etheopean Christianity is directly derived from Judaism, and is more akin to Muslim/Judasm then western Christianity which derives from Rome.

The Ethiopian Orthodox Church has the Largest Canon of scriptures. I respect them in that regard.

Also, beer & bread at service!! Man if these churches did that here in the States, there would be people lined up down the block wanting to attend...LOL

With their canon, I know they have the book of Enoch. Are there any other ones besides that?

I wonder if they can still be considered as the People of Books (ahli Kitab), as their teaching is not from Paul, and when they pray they prostrate (sujud) the forehead.

@Torahrevival clearly they don't preform sacrifices if they're Christians, not to mention Jews stopped preforming sacrifices after the fall of the second temple.

Clearly the orthodox church is the most truly Christian church rooted in Judaism, but its theology IS Christian and not more akin to Islam or Judaism even if its culture and liturgy is. It is simply the original intact Christian church which proclaims Christ as he should be

I love it when a skeptical Brit is moved to tears by religion. By Orthodox Christianity no less. Which is usually associated w/ communism in the heads of ignorant Westerners. How far from the truth can that idea be, if Christianity was installed in Ethiopia as the official faith cca 330 AD, the same time as the Roman empire. i dont know there was any communism then.

Love and attention to the human inside really do matter regardless the name, dont they?

@knowitxYes ethiopia is the only nation accepting Christ while in Judaism. Of course, Mose's Ark is in Ethiopia. But what makes Ethiopia distinct is its unique Practical Christianity. Most of the Evangelization was done by Orthodox Christians executed by Roman 'Catholic ' Chalcedoneans - Nine saints. Come and see how God is worshiped there. once u come, u wont leave
