For divers, it's very rare to have any kind of rotation offshore. If they call you to go on a job that's supposed to last a week, it will probably last four, and vice versa. When you're offshore, you will be working 12 hour shifts as a tender.

I went to the Ocean Corporation in Houston, TX. Commercial diving is a completely different animal than scuba. It's a career. The schools are expensive, so make sure it's something you want to do. Vertigo while ascending can be caused my a reverse squeeze in the ear or sinuses. I had this happen once. Very painful. Ruptured sinuses.

We were able to get away with it a few years ago. You can't even scratch your butt without filling out a JSA now.

sorry man I am not a scuba steve, im done commercial diving now. I am actually joining the NAVY, so I dont really care about what you think and or know, In the end we dont care if it is a fatass that is diving, getting the job done without hurting anyone is what matters,

big fuckin difference between 33% and 5%, evry1 goin for navy diving would b far more fitter then people goin for scooby doo divin. All im sayin is fact, loads of average joes make it in commercial divin but unless ur unreal fit and tough u still might not make the grade, soory to upset so many scooby doo divers who cant except plain and simple fact and common sence

well only 33% of my classed became commercial divers, not everyone wants to use re-breathers and shoot things you know.
