The roland MC-09 really is fun as hell. Not very well known and much cheaper then a 303 (ok so it's not as great as a 303 but its close!).
This is a video is of my first go (after a read of the manual). I hope i can make something a little more worth while for my next video, this is more of a demo.

  • I bought this in 2005, not very much used. It can do very much, but it sucks that it doesn't support SD-cards...

    It's overdrive is poor. But if you get an external one, you will have a MAJOR difference.

    Send me a message if you want a sound clip with the difference.

    It's WAY more powerful with an effect pedal.

  • I would love to hear the difference nordemoniac!

  • thats fucking sweet

  • i just have to say ,, this sounds NOTHING even remotely close to the TB-303 :D

  • killer demo.

  • would you say this is a better emulation of a 303 than bassline in audiotool?

  • could you try using the portamento and slide to make it sound more 'organic' like a classic 303... without it it just sounds like a bubble digital noise. not very classic 303 sounding.

  • Watch my uploaded video, I also added it as a video response. It shows how much a external overdrive helps.

  • I've uploaded a video;
