  • I'm curious about the software that makes the animation. Does it use a midi file or input from a midi keyboard. Reading the input seems like the hardest part and the animation seems like the more creative you want it to look the harder it would be to make. What language was this made in? I might be interested in making one, I was looking at the MidiDevice class in java, that seemed like it could be used to read midi input and from there I could make an animation.

  • @n0th3re The current version of the software (that I'm using) only reads files, but earlier versions did both. I've written it in various languages over the years; it doesn't make much difference. If you know Java, that's probably what you should use.

  • Great quality, thanks whoever uploaded this to YouTube I listen to it every day. :)

  • @youamsuck That would be me: I performed it, recorded it, wrote the software that made the animation, and uploaded the result. Uploading it was the easy part.

  • I lost count of how many times I have listened to this piece : )

  • @LieutenantSarcasm26 That's okay --- when you're listening to this, you shouldn't be counting, anyway.
