Leaders from SEFCU, the College of Nanoscale Science and Engineering, New York State, SUNY, and Girls Inc. announced a first-of-its kind program in the critical effort to encourage young women to pursue an increasing number of opportunities in the field of nanotechnology - especially as New York's high-tech industry continues to grow. The 5-year, $800,000 program will provide as many as 150 girls - at no cost to them - an inside look at the exciting careers and post-secondary education in nanoscience, nanoengineering, and nanobioscience.
