This is a demonstration to make a cookie jar in a closed form. 12.5 pounds of clay. There are four parts. These are rather long videos but I wanted include all the helpful advises from our instructor.

  • this is actually a pretty easy way to make perfect fitting lidded pots. I simply dry it with a hair dryer for 2-3 minutes and then cut. Then u dry the inside lid and bottom. I like to make my walls straight up and down so I don't have to worry about trimming. BTW I really liked your closing technique. thx!

  • I make a lot of jewelry boxes using this technique. After I cut the "lid" free with a needle tool I level it back on the "bottom" using it like a chuck. I clean it up and then trim the bottom to fit.

    BTW Nice form!
