My personal guide to becoming a better spy in the world of Team Fortress 2! There some general tips, and awesome clips that I think will improve YOUR spy game for pros and beginners! Feel free to pause the video because some of the clips are really short and then it will give you time to read the messages. I am looking forward to doing more of these, and tell me what you like/dislike about the vid and give me suggestions for future segments. Enjoy!

  • 23 seconds in and I'm turning off the video.

    Mistakes made:

You didn't switch classes when you got behind the medic/solly right away, so te medic knew it was you.

You were bodyshotting with the amb when you were right infront of the guy and could have headshot.

...You're using a pretty bad crosshair. But that's personal prefrence I guess.

  • Dear Disgruntled Veiwer,

This video was my first tutorial I had ever done so cut me some slack, and the video was aimed towards teaching the very basics of MY spy play. Also, if you didnt notice...I still killed the medic and solly and got out alive in that clip. I got the job done, maybe not too graceful, but I got it done. I didnt aim to impress in this video, but if you want to see some of my nicer frags, check out my channel. I have 20 other videos that you might like.

You're posting a GUIDE. New players are going to look at this and think it is either acceptable or valid tactics, it is neither.

  • 1) It was obviousy a valid tactic if I accomplished my goal of killing the solly-medic pair without dying.

    2) New players will not be that nitpicky and overanalyze the situation much like you are doing.

    3) I would love to see YOUR tutorials/frag vids that you have made to validate that you are infact a competent spy yourself.

  • @GangstaNinja11

    1) Valid tactic? Sure, if you consider three easy (you completely ignored a spy) kills that you barely scraped out of "valid"

    2) New players won't know any better and maybe would not even be aware of headshotting or that it's the point of the gun.

    3) Not sure what my skills have to do with YOUR video, however you are free to look at my stats and/or achievements at steamcommunity(dot)com/id/Reaprar/stats/TF2

I have been playing since the beta.

Dont base my entire spy play off of that one clip. And if you want to play sometime, friend request me and I would be happy to.

  • My apologies, but a real Spy needs no handbook. :D Spies pass their techniques through example, not text, in case their enemies manage to obtain that intel and countermeasure them.

  • I think you should state that some of these tips are only appropriate with the DR

(or the god watch as I call it)

  • @GangstaNinja11 try Source Engine Automatic Demo Saver

cus im too lazy i havent really gone much farther than hitting record, but it has instructions as well as download on the page so it should help.

i cant seem to put the link in without getting an error when trying to post.. but if you type in SEADS on google its the top one

also like Snuggernaut said, coulda used something on why you use the DR over the others

  • From 2:45 - 2:59 you are disguised as me ( Danecks [NoG] ) :D
