  • the starting SHOCKED me with the sound of THUNDER!! ahahahah.. and i like this version of the famous hymn...wonder who composed this nice intro and variation??

    This arrangement was spontaneous, I believe from Vierne's original score, part of a rehearsal for a recital that was recorded for television and that has since been broadcast on international television--with much better sound. Thunder and intro was extra. :)

    I am aware that the audio is not great. You take what you can get. And this was a spontaneous recording with the audio directly on the camera and no opportunity to take advantage of the microphones placed in the hall. This is what you hear at the console.

  • James Welch is hands down the most dynamic organist of the Bay Area. I love his album work, but to see him live is a real treat.
