Has that smokey, peat flavor I look for in a single malt.

  • I get a kick out of ur incompentence about how whisky is to be nosed and tasted..Its pronounced eye-la,,have a another dram u yankee nob slob.

  • ice and soda...? : (

  • A mixture of single malts is called a vatted malt.

  • Indeed, it's pronounced eye-lah, and a single malt is a whisky coming from one individual distillery with the youngest whisky in it being the whisky that defines the age of the Whisky, Bowmore is not really that peated, compared to the other Islays (perhaps except for the Bunnahabhain 12) The Bowmore is perfect for people who have been drinking whisky for a while and want to go to the next level, but are not yet ready for the real big 3 of Islay (Ardbeg, Laphroaig and Lagavulin) try them!

  • It's pronounced eye-lah. Bowmore legend is actually not that peaty, the other islay's are much stronger. This is more of an intro islay or your everyday islay scotch.
