THIS HURTS!
What hurts...: Shoulder, elbow and forearm.
How you hurt it...: Overhand throwing softballs.
When you hurt it...: 3 weeks ago.
Your pain level (1 is low, 10 is high pain): At rest nothing hurts but when I throw the ball my pain is very intense and I have numbness in my arm and hand. I find that the pain lessens if I push throw and warm up.
Your age and overall health...: I am 26 and in good health, although I did just have a baby (4 months old) and havent played ball in a couple of years (but every year for about 18 beofe that).
Any other information you feel is relevant...: I am looking for some warm up exercises to do to help warm up.

Shoulder circles backwards: Lift shoulders up, back and down and hold the position for 5 seconds.
Doorway Stretch: Position one arm on each side. Gently shift your body weight forward so you feel a stretch through your pecs. Hold the strecth, without bouncing, for 15 seconds. Repeat this 3 times. You should feel a stretch and not pain.
Wide Open Circles: With your arms straight out, circle your arms backwards.
Why would you film a PT in a black sweater against a black curtain??? This really helps to see the exercises she's demonstrating. So is this rehab.com still running??

my shoulder hurts when i throw i cant whip it at all, theirs also a sharp pain. if i throw hard enough my whole arm seems dead.

hi .. i got this pain in my elbow every time i try to lift any type hevy weigth, pushing does not hurts, but bending my rist upward does .. i would like to know what tips u can give me ...thx

I have pain in my forearm specifically in the flexor corpi radialus, pulmaris longus, and flexor corpi ulnaris area. This occurs specifically when I am grasping something and I believe I did it while performing pullups.

check out dynamic stretching and make sure your throwing mechanics are sound. you're too young to have shoulder problems.

Im a lefthanded and i play badminton, and after a couples of overhead smash pointing in differents direction of the court, my elbow hurts really bad, can you please teach me to heal my elbow. thank you

umm, what is this going to do when you have fascial restrictions, or contractures. Stretching it is not going to do anything to the adhesions.
