http://zuguide.com/Ella-Enchanted.html In the fairytale world of Frell, Ella (Anne Hathaway), beautiful young woman, is forced by a magical spell to obey every command she is given. Tired of being taken advantage of by her cruel stepmother (Joanna Lumley) and wicked stepsisters (Lucy Punch and Jennifer Higham), Ella sets out to find Lucinda (Vivica A. Fox), the fairy who originally cast the spell. Helping Ella along the way is Slannen (Aidan McArdle), an elf who wants to be a lawyer, and Prince Charmont (Hugh Dancy), whom Ella falls in love with at first sight. To free herself from her burden and live the life she wants, Ella must outwit ogres and giants and find the strength that has always hidden inside her. Directed by Tommy O'Haver. With Cary Elwes, Minnie Driver, Eric Idle and Steve Coogan. Categories: Comedy, Fantasy, Romance, Adventure, Family. Year: 2004.

  • This was one of my favourite books growing up, was really excited about the movie but it was kind of a shame that they went in this kind of direction. Even though the book did have comedic moments, you wouldn't really call it a comedy like the movie does
