Heartland Park Topeka: Line and Corner Study

This video includes two laps of the Heartland Park Topeka track. The first lap starts from pit out and shows how pit out blends in with the hot track. Use caution when merging with on track traffic.

We have also used a red circle to indicate the location of each turn relative to the track. For the most part, this track good runoff. The corner that "collects" the most riders is turn 8. The reason for this is that riders use the wrong turn-in point and carry too much corner entry speed. This video is meant to help those of you that are signed up for our event on September 17 & 18 2011. Thanks to Dan Bowers for taking the time to shoot this video for our event.

Oh, and turn 8 definitely collects riders. I've had an "off track" experience in that corner. Haha! Thankfully, I was on a supermoto, so it was no big deal. It was just as if I was taking a bit of a hooligan shortcut through that corner. I got teased about it quite a bit: "You know there's not an offroad section of this course, right?"

This is the track I ride and I have been subbed to your channel for over a year. I was really looking forward to this event, but my rings are shot and I'm not getting it bored out until the week after this event. It's fine for city riding right now, but I think another track day would seriously destroy the whole cylinder. A track this wide open is a bit rough on a 250 single. :(
