@danceloverSkye She was injured and sent back to her provincial team or home to recover . Otherwise I think she would have been a serious contender for Worlds this year. I think she turns 16 this year actually, contrary to what I said last year. :) Her status as a Chinese NT gymnast is slowly diminishing due to her injuries.

They are tough to motivate them to work harder and perfect the tiny things. Because a lot of times, it is a tiny thing that can cost you the gold.

Wow, Chinese judges are really tough! It these beam routines were judged at U.S. Nationals, they would have been scored much higher. But routines at U.S. Nationals are notoriously overscored.

Great beam! I love the first combination, but what impressed me was her attempt at doing the new full turn to full turn combination!
