UCSB took on UCLA at Harder Stadium for the opening game of the school year. With a scoreless first half, UCSB took it home in the second when David Opoku scored a goal with 15 minutes left, followed by Danny Barrera's goal in the last 5 minutes of the game.

graduated in 2010 but went to EVERY home game in my 4 years there, and even a few away games down at UCLA. helped carry the goalpost down to the beach when we won the national championship my freshman year in 2006, fucking awesome!!

we have the best fans of any college soccer program, hands down. even at the UCLA games, we had more fans than they did, and we were waaaay crazier.
