This vid needs an update for 2011 (thats how quickly technology changes!) Some suggestions: the Amiga/Windows Cloud, the NES/Wii, the Beta/the Flip, the Record player/iPod, the DeLorean/Chevy Volt, 80's cell phones or bag phone/a smartphone. Nice choice in music.

@jtadpoll YUP!!! I remeber in the early/mid 90s that I couldnt wait for the fat 5 at 9 on power 106 cus all the good songs came on and I would just 'rec' on my tape player..... funny thing is a lot of these young kids dont even know what cassettes are :)

@discountbacon and vinyl was more popular than CD's until the end of 1988, so for the home stereo, it would be vinyl in the 80's, CD's in the 90's/00's.

@hkfan1980 It doesn't matter if they existed in the 80s, because cassettes were still more popular.

actually cds were avaiable in the in the 80s they were just like $40 for a cd and its player was $400.

NES and Xbox? I'd say NES and Wii or at lest Game Cube. Keep brands to brands. Interesting but could have been longer. Still good idea.

@ilikemuffins7 CDs were released in the UK in 1983... and people definitely bought CD systems back then! I have several newspaper articles and magazine ads for CD systems from the 1980s.

CDs? Sooo late 90s. You should've had a cassette player compared with an iPod.

I know, but I was actually trying to compare the disc thing. Vinyls happend in the 80's and compact discs are still happening now.
I could just have shown a vinyl and then a cd...now I don't know why I did it LOL! But thanx for the comment.
