Hey Ladies!

I wanted to show you all how I wash and style my natural hair which I try to do every two weeks. I hope these tips are helpful to you! Here is a basic rundown of how I wash my hair:

- I dry detangle with my fingers to remove any knots and tangles
- I section my hair in 6 or 7 parts (I choose to twist each section; you can braid if you like).
- Apply a hot oil treatment the night before (I use castor oil on my scalp and olive oil on my hair)
- Shampoo twice- In this video I used Crème of Nature Sunflower & Coconut Detangling Conditioning Shampoo
- Condition- In this video I used Pantene Relaxed and Natural: Dry to Moisturized Conditioner
- I deep conditioner every time I wash! I use Creme Of Nature Jojoba & Olive Oil Moisture-Active Deep Conditioning Treatment. The formula they had before they recently changed it was way better and smelled better too! I always add a cap full of Olive Oil and Honey to my deep conditioners!

I have been styling my hair in small twists after I wash for almost a year now. Check out the various twist styles I wear on the Mane Moves Facebook page at www.facebook.com/ManeMovesTV

  • Great video!!! Your hair (& skin) is beautiful...I think I'll incorporate washing my hair in sections as it seems it (1) allows for more attention on nourishing the hair & (2) helps w/ the detangling process. Since today is my weekly NaturalHair Date (wash & more day lol)...I think today is a good day especially since I'm "pre-pooing" w/ my oils as I type (lol).

  • @aNATURALloveaffair That's wonderful...let us know how it works for you!

  • What camera do u use and what editing software plz?

  • @Ahdree23 Thank you so much for your wonderful comments! I use the Canon T3i and I edit on Final Cut Pro

  • I've noticed that as my hair has gotten longer (shoulder length) washing it in sections is the best way to go. Sure it takes a little longer but the results are worth it. I'm definitely going to try your method.

  • @naturalandfab I would love to hear how it worked out for you!
