  • How could a mere mortal like Mozart write such Godly music? God bless the wunderkind!

  • I cant picture anybody other than Wendy White playing Marcellina. It's so good!

  • I absolutely love Dwayne Croft (the Count). He's one of the first opera singers I ever heard. He's a very natural singer and actor; everything he does is "in character."

  • @leporello56 Heinz Zednik

  • Best Act II finale I have ever heard. Perfect balance between both sides of argument in the voices. Perfect!

  • @suzanneetmoi and Nibor7301,Let me correct you the word "Soubrette" has nothing to do with theatrical performances at its origin.. It is a colloquial word to call a young servant used in the middle of the XVII th century from the provençal "soubreto" which gave "sobrar" in the same south of France language of the time which means to be "one to much".. Then the word entered the theatrical language meaning an arrogant young servant and confident..

  • Although it is rather well sung, nothing can beat the mithycal production of Giorgio Strehler's at the Paris Opera House which was created in 1973 under the great Rolf Liebermann directorship. It has not taken a single wrinkle more than 30 years after its creation and was revivaled last autumn and is due to be played again this may. The only huge mistake that the Paris opera house is again doing is not to stage it at the old Opera Garnier which is the only right place to perform Mozart operas.

  • Mozart smiles everytime someone listens to this version...

  • @1AdrianR I'm sorry her on a stage it's not acting but it's a show! She plays too much! For exemple in the scene where figaro meets his parents, bartoli show too much her feelings while there is no reason to show that

  • @mouthmouse You can never have too much Bartoli!

  • Don Basilio's looking a little put off... XD
