1pc of Canadians will be very very rich..99pc will see no benefit for this rape of this beautiful land and destruction of native flora and fauna ...this 1pc will have its billions and the 99pc will be left with a huge mess...tar sands land can never be restored to boreal forest. How do the people allow this destruction????

if the government and oil companies don't give a damn about the health of first nations communities living downstream from the tar sands, they sure as hell aren't going to give a damn about the well being of some wolves and caribou. and if it's true what they say that the government is representative of those who put them in power...then to hell with albertans! they (or rather we) need a serious paradigm shift in our attitudes toward the natural world...or we will all get what we deserve.

Boycott as much as possible, and call for general strikes rotating from city to city and also country wide. If that all fails, remains the means of sabotage...of equipment...of institutes of propaganda (ethical oil?). We need to get rid of representative democracy and replace it with direct democracy - we have now the tools. End the resource wars with intent!

Take to the streets, throw your representatives out of their offices into those streets, they are useless in any other place than amongst us.
