The shelter that I use to stay in has 100 beds and 40 or so cots and is nothing like this place. A guy who I met tonight at the shelter (I shower and eat there at times) told me in NYC wards island it's 4 floors and 150 guys per floor and that our shelter is better in some ways because less people.

This is by far 1 of the best shelters i have seen!! I was homeless for a little bit and the shelter i went to was so horrible that i chose most nights to freeze on the streets instead. Had to be in a line by 5pm to get in, had to sit through almost 2 hrs of church on a nightly basis to get a bed and dinner, then out by 6am no matter what the weather was.. GOD BLESS THIS MAN AND HIS VOLUNTEERS!!!!

This is a well run, clean and human style homeless shelter. God bless this guy and all those working in this place for those in need. we never know each other's stories, even drug addicts are someone's child, someone who had work, pain in life and have somehow gotten lost in their path.
