@TheLDubbb I have never tried anything. I take vitamins E, C, fish oil every morning. Not in hope of making my hair grow, but just because it's good for me. :) I've learned to finally except it, but I will try it for a month and tell you the results. :)

@cwebber00 I agree. It's really all mental. The sooner you start accepting it the better the people that you start surrounding yourself with. Having a strong support system helps in mentally and emotionally.

I don't know if ppl know yet but rogaine works it's not a cure but as long as u are using it your hair grows trust me. Use it for 4 month n I guarantee you'll smile harder than u ever did in life :)

@TheCIN666 You're NOT over reacting, that's usually how it starts. Please visit a Dermatologist who specializes in hair loss- they offer cortisone injections to take away the inflamation. If you are on oral birth control tablets- stop taking them. That aids in hair loss. I have a form of Alopecia called: follicular degenerative syndrome. An all natural diet helps too- no processed foods and get plenty of exercise. I hope this helps.

@sanabak hang in there. kids make fun of things they don't understand. sometimes explaining it to them may help a lot of times it won't. if you have some friends that don't make fun focus on them. one thing that may help is clowning around. let parts of your personality outshine your head! let them see there is more to you then your lack of hair. you are NOT JUST a bald person but a (insert trait here, example- smart, funny, crazy, innovative, creative) person.

I have had alopecia areata since I was 17 and now I am 28.. I am curious has your hair ever temporarily grew back? well I just seen the answer :-p the second part of the question. did you go through the stages of being upset when it started falling out again? I went through something I did not expect when my hair grew back a few years ago I felt I lost who I was all over again. got use to having hair then I lost it again. it was like the first time with all 3 stages.
