This is an AP Physics B Level Problem. Here we are looking at a train that is rounding a turn. Some trains are capable of tilting the cars such that the radial component of the normal force is used in conjunction with the frictional force to make the passengers more comfortable. First we calculate the amount of frictional force necessary if the train navigates an unbanked turn, and then we calculate how much frictional force is necessary if the train navigates a banked turn.
