I think I bought this game for my 14th bday when it came out. It was fun but short. There's a cut scene in this game that stands as one of the best fight scenes I have ever seen.

music at 1:00 mark sounds exactly like the Hong Kong Club music from Deus Ex... weird

this game is so badass !! i wish it was on xbox360

please give back some of these hardcore games like this !

@hodenkrampf3 Don't even think about hating on Battlefield, Battlefield 1942 had been around a year and half before this game was even released, teh only reason everyone hates on it now is because it's gone more mainstream since moving to console.

winback did it before this

LOL I have both systems and to those who hate on Gears most have never REALLY played it (maybe a store demo). For most Ps3 only owners who criticize Gears it's the best game you never had! After Kill.Switch no one had the balls to pull off an EPIC 3rd person shooter. Not one that mattered at least. Oh I must say can't wait for Uncharted 3 for ps3! This fall is gonna be GREAT!

Well now I wish I'd played this over GOW, its nice having a cover based shooter where the main character doesn't throw his back full force into the wall (somethings gonna break, either the wall, his armour THAT DOES NOTHING, or his back). Did this have a story that made sense? The one big thing that really annoyed me about the GOW series was that the story made no sense. I'll admit that I liked 2 better than 1 even though that threw in a really stupid nugget of information.

Wish it moved like this game. This game actualy seems to have nice style of movement on it.

WinBack didn't do it first either, but its cover mechanic was inspired by Time Crisis, a lightgun FPS series developed by Namco, the same company that created Kill Switch. The cover system in Time Crisis itself was borrowed from Rolling Thunder, an old 2D run & gun shooter series also developed by Namco. Kill Switch was like a successor to Rolling Thunder and Time Crisis, and perfected their cover mechanics. Namco can thus righfully be credited as the inventor of the cover system.
