In 1985, I met Jaco Pastorious in Ft Lauderdale. I sled him who his favorite all time band was, he said Wayne and CC Riders. True story.

I saw Cochran put on a glass shattering show at the Loser's Club in Dallas a few times and flew on the same plane once. On the ground in a crowded Philadelphia airport, I was about 15 feet behind him as two freshly scrubbed young nuns in full habit were among the oncoming foot traffic headed for their gate. They maintained their composure passing the XXLL singer in the XL suit with a blond bouffant do but giggled mightily when safely by. I'll never forget it.

wayne cochran rules. he donated some stage clothes, and other items to ga music hall of fame in macon, ga. i saw exhibit and talked to the curator about wayne. about 3 days later, wayne called him and thanked me for the kind words.he sent me some 45s from the old days and some of his teaching tapes and a picture.a class act and a real gentleman. i respect the man, his music and the life he is now leading.elvis used to go see him in vegas jaco got his start in the cc riders, and wayne is awesome

The White Knight of Soul aint no imitation, he's a contemporary. This is the fonkiest huero I ever seen. Plus Gleason lightin up on air!
