Forsman plays Texas Flood on a Strat through Peavey JSX amp

Howdy! Here's a video I recorded today July 11th. As usual improvised stuff over a backing track - this time it's SRV's Texas Flood. This is the first video on YT that I play through my Peavey JSX amp, but it's certainly not the last.

Man chill out on listen to what you're at!

Definitely talent under there somewhere but the playing is very erratic and unmusical at times. Listen to sapphire blue by Larry Carlton and you'll get my meaning

Sapphire Blue is a great album, have listened to it alot of times, Larry is one of my absolute no 1 players!

I wasn't exactly going for the Carlton vibe here, more like Yngwie vibes... hehehe!

The feel and soul is there though that's the main thing and the sound is great too..

@TheMemphisFourband I don't know what model it is, just that it's a Mexican made Fender built 1990. Originally it had a turtoise pickguard with white crappy single coils...

In this video it's a couple of DiMarzio HS-3's in it which I no longer owns.

Right now there is a set of EMG SA's with a pearl white pick guards.

This guitar has had almost EVERY pickup there is in it, LOL!

@bricktownrules Unfortunately not, because I don't remember. Haven't got this amp anymore either, but I believe I usually set all three eq-knobs full clockwise and from that point decresed what I thought it was too much of. Makes the amp sound differently than it would if you start from 12 o'clock, plus you also get higher volume in the end.
