I wanted to document what this was like to play for a non-keyboard player. Feeding into my v-synth.

  • @felipescalador Learning how to read standard notation, how to use both hands effectively, and what the older repertoire is could be useful. If you need structure the lessons could be worth keeping too.

But if you have a little discipline and a few books (or even the internet) you could probably get just as far or farther on your own time if you get an AXiS, and it would probably be less frustrating.

Also look into converting your AXiS into a jammer, google "'Wicki-Hayden Keyboard".

  • hello I am taking piano lessons like two months ago but I really like the idea of an axis 64. so just wandering is it better to leave the piano lessons & learn music theory on my own to then apply it to the axis?? or should I stay in piano lessons. any help is greatly apreciated

  • @itsfatman geez Id rather just use a Oxygen controller and deal with my lack of piano skills.

  • cool but strange looking device ;)

but im intrested 2 try once

  • you can have them customize it to your wildest dreams for an added charge. if you say build me one with 4 pitch bend wheels they'll do it. lots of big shot producers are rockin this thing. I think its gonna ketch on. I would not use it for drumming though cause that cant be good.

  • Yeah, it's touch sensitive.

  • Can you hook a sustain pedal up to it? So you don't have to hold down the chord while adding notes? Or maybe a sustenudo? I think that's the one that lets you sustain some notes while the others still turn off and on? Also, is it touch sensitive? I agree, this thing is VERY cool!

  • its lookin like $1700 USD

  • how much did this cost?

  • is great!!! i have a v-synth xt....and i like your axis!!!! more videos please!!!

    congrats!
