Took off with a sort of John Cleese funny walk - having to life my feet out of the 12-14" of snow each step while still running. Amazing views, but very very cold - even with heated gloves on.

Shot with GoPro HD - r4 (1280x960), stretched to 16:9 720p for vertical FoV

  • Nice work Stu. You pleased with the Go Pro ? Your snow is deeper than ours in Devon ! Kicked it up a bit today

  • cheers Dave. yeh It's a lot better than I thought it was gonna be actually. worth a punt. Just watched yer foot dragging exploits!

  • Thanks for sharing. Can't understand why you didn't start with the gloves on to begin with. I also use electric gloves when I fly

  • mostly I would, but I expected to need every bit of control feeling to get off the ground in the deep snow. As it happened, I probably could have in the end.

  • Bear hands !!!!! Brrrrrrr ......then gloves ? how did you get them on

  • I edited out that exciting bit of footage.

But think "To light a fire" by Jack London - my hands were like blocks of ice 30 secs of take off - I reckon I had one change to get em on or I'd have been stuffed. - they are electric gloves - am have a lead acid battery on my lap!

  • Nice, I can see that they are still driving on the wrong side of the road over there. My understanding is that they were going to change everyone over to driving on the other side like in the USA, but did not want to confuse everyone so they were going to do it gradually over a one year period and have people change on the month of their birthday. Or was that Ireland I was thinking of? None the less, nice video!

  • Nice one Stu :)

  • Excellent quality, Stu !
