Word and Image - A Celebration of Students' Creative Works.wmv

In celebration of National Non-Traditional Students Week, the Northeast Center of SUNY Empire State College held several events for our students. The Art Show & Coffee House was the first event of the week. Word & Image was a celebration of our students' artistic and writing achievements. Some of these creative works were an outcome of their course work and others were the result of their own creative endeavours.

Non-Traditional Students Week is held the first full week in November. It is an opportunity for colleges across the country to recognize and celebrate the accomplishments and challenges and successes of non-traditional students. Our mission at Empire State College is to serve adult non-traditional students, and our approach to learning recognizes the successes and challenges faced by our students, the vast range of experiences and real-world knowledge they bring to their college learning, and the multiple responsibilities that they juggle as they endeavor to earn their degrees.
