@bastard529 I grew up in maryville TN near the railroad tracks, but now live in Montana. We had #4449 go through last summer, which was a sight to see as it went over the continental divide at Marias pass. I like old trains and go to see every one that comes to town.

Indeed, never blow down around people, this type of incident happened once at the CSRM last year. The guy survived though.

The building is locked up most of the time try to allways be there tue and sat yes it is accesible by bike plan to steam up on dec 2 for FRA final inspection and move it on out onto main for a run by.

It is WONDERFUL to see an engine which has been sitting static come back to life! And to hear the bark of that 6-chime...GREAT JOB!

I agree.
I've been a lifelong steam fan, but something I've never thought about until now, in regards to operational restorations, is coming in after seeing a machine such as this sit cold and silent for years on end and then, after so much work, being able to see what it looks like with a beating heart..so to speak. In this era of increased liability and decreased steam operation, this is truly a sight to cherish. CONGRATULATIONS guys, you've done good!!!!! Now lets get out on the high iron!
