Totally agree. Ozzy's greatest contribution to Sab was his showmanship, the uniqueness of his pipes & his ability to emote incredibly well. Dio's greatest contribution was all of that+a badass range+ great lyricism+the best breath control in ANY genre of rock+Wicked projection & support (he knew the appoggio technique that the best classical singers use)+the air compression that enabled him to get that gravelly effect-fuck, I'm preaching to the choir-no pun intended.

anyone can hear that dio is the greater talent and his live performances are top tier. i've seen both dio and ozzy live, but i'm telling you dio is one of the greatest live performances you could have ever seen. as far as who is better, they were different generations. it's hard to imagine dio singing for old black sabbath pre vol 4 days, likewise it's hard to imagine ozzy singing for heaven and hell. i personally think dio is the best, but no one can take away from the godfather of metal, ozzy
