no i'm not. the ref who did this game and the SB42 is the biggest homer ref in the NFL. He even has a reputation for favoring the home team in his officiating. The NFL wanted to see the Saints in the Super Bowl that year so they assigned that ref for this game.

it was the same ref who did this years super bowl (he missed an offensive pass interference on tyree on that "spectacular catch"). i'm not a pats fan, but i wanted to see history. mark my words, that ref (mike carey, i believe) will be the nfl's "tim donaghy". he is such a homer.
