If you think that you can return Labour to power by attacking the market and supporting the unions, then you are seriously mistaken. At a time like this, when the economy is so unstable and spenindg cuts are on the way, the public doesn't want a general strike. It wants a government that will cut back the state and free the markets as well. You will never suppor that.

Ed, instead of calling it the "american model of capitalism" give us more respect than that it's corporate oligarchy we know what it is. Even a Reuplican like Ron Paul has the guts to say it. Go look at how the people get behind him. You genuinely want to make a difference stick two fingers up to the Oligarchs and start representing the people. If that isn't fundamentally the core of the Labour party then what is?
